What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) position at D4C Dental Brands, Inc?
Wild Smiles in White Knoll is seeking a dedicated Expanded Duty Dental Assistant to support our team in delivering high-quality dental care to our young patients. This role involves assisting our dentist during treatments and procedures, as well as overseeing preparation, and inventory of dental instruments and supplies. We’re looking for someone who is easy going and great with kids.
Essential Duties:
-Prepare treatment rooms promptly, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and set up appropriately for each procedure.
-Serve as the dentist’s chair-side assistant by handing instruments and materials as needed.
-Monitor and maintain adequate operatory supplies; compile supply lists for inventory and ordering.
-Manage laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions, trimming models, and creating temporary crowns
-Provide patient education, including post-op care, oral hygiene instructions, and form explanations (e.g., consent forms).
-Ensure clear communication with administrative staff for ongoing treatment coordination.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
DA, EFDA, CPR, XRay, N2o, Coronal Polish Certified
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00a-4:30p
