What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insert Prep position at Da Pro Rubber, Inc.?
Da/Pro has an opening for an Insert Prep Technician! This is an entry level position that does not require experience.
Shift: 8a-4p
The Insert Prep Tech is responsible for initial cleaning. Trims excess rubber from inserts. Applies primer/adhesive as required to raw inserts. Reclaims inserts rejected by inspection. Obtains correct process for prepping, trimming and reclaiming insert from MOM's or documented procedures.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Transport insert to production.
- Count inserts and enter production into OKMES.
- Operate equipment necessary for insert prep, trim and reclaim.
- Maintain insert inventory, work area and machines/tools in a clean and orderly fashion.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations
- Understand and communicate details logically and accurately in English
- Accurately record information in writing and/or in Epicor system
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasionally: reach above shoulder with both hands, lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Frequently: lift upward with both arms outstretched, count and calculate, communicate details.
Constantly: stand; reach outward with both hands, handle/finger, wrist and elbow flexion, rotation and articulation.
Other: Near point non-color vision, sense of touch, tolerance for temperature in a non-controlled environment.
