Car Porter/Detailer 1 Yr Exp Reqd

Job Summary:

The Porter/Detailer is responsible for ensuring that vehicles are presented in a clean and appealing manner and that the dealership lot is organized and well-maintained. This role involves washing, cleaning, and detailing both the exterior and interior of vehicles, as well as assisting with vehicle movement, lot arrangement, and other tasks as needed to support the dealership's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Detailing: Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles, including washing, waxing, vacuuming interiors, cleaning windows, and polishing exteriors to showroom quality.
• Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicles for delivery or display by ensuring they meet dealership standards, including touch-up detailing and final inspections.
• Lot Organization: Arrange vehicles on the dealership lot to ensure an organized, visually appealing display and easy access for sales staff and customers.
• Vehicle Movement: Assist with moving vehicles around the lot, showroom, or service area, as needed, including driving vehicles to and from service appointments or for customer deliveries.
• Inspection Support: Conduct quick checks and inspections of vehicles before delivery, identifying any issues that need to be addressed.
• Maintenance and Upkeep: Help maintain the cleanliness of the dealership’s premises, including the lot, service bays, and customer areas.
• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers as needed, providing a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with both customers and staff.
• Support for Service and Sales Departments: Assist with various tasks, such as refueling vehicles, checking tire pressures, and ensuring that vehicles are in proper condition for test drives.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle care products and processes is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
