What are the responsibilities and job description for the Condition Report Writer position at DAA Seattle?
McConkey Auction Group (MAG) is the fastest growing wholesale auto auction in the northwest and we are looking for a reliable, self-motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as Condition Report (CR) Writer at our location in Auburn, WA (DAA Seattle).
Our CR Writers are the backbone of our online wholesale auto auction platform. CR Writers are responsible for conducting vehicle inspections and completing vehicle condition reports. Through the inspection and reporting process, CR Writers correctly identify damage on the interior and exterior of vehicles as well as noting any missing components and/or mechanical issues present. CR Writers prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition and repair/replacement cost estimates utilizing a company issued device similar to a small tablet. They also perform other duties as assigned or requested, such as moving and parking cars, to assure optimum service levels. CR Writers may also be required to take multiple photos of each vehicle to capture damage and help provide a clear assessment of the overall condition of the car.
Work is performed primarily outdoors and inside customer vehicles. This position requires the ability to withstand long hours as well as the ability to drive and work in adverse weather conditions. Employees in this position are regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, climb up on large vehicles and get into and out of vehicles with relative ease.
Successful candidates will possess a passion for cars, high attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and excellent problem-solving skills. Previous auto body, paint or mechanical knowledge is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required and three-year driving abstract will be required for this position.
