What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at DAA Seattle?
We have an immediate opening for a responsible, hardworking individual to join our team as a Facilities & Maintenance Technician. This position plays a key role in keeping our building systems operational and clean, ensuring it is inviting to both employees and customers. You will pe responsible for a wide variety of maintenance tasks such as general electrical, mechanical, building and ground maintenance to include:
- Maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Conduct repairs in ventilation and other systems when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, high school diploma or equivalent. They must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and also don’t mind getting dirty or messy as part of their job. Our ideal candidate is a top performer who brings high levels of energy and enthusiasm to their work. They can multitask well, work independently and also have the ability to interact tactfully and positively with employees, customers and vendors. The nature of the work requires attention to detail and the ability to observe all health and safety guidelines. 3- 5 years of previous facilities maintenance experience is required, along with:
- A basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position including bending, crouching, standing for long periods at a time.
