What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Dabico Airport Solutions?
Our Airport Solutions client is seeking an experienced Buyer. In this position, you'll be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
Your expertise and skill will be needed to evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine top suppliers. You'll coordinate activities involved with new product introduction, strategic planning, source materials, procuring goods and services such as raw materials and equipment to meet production requirements and to support our group.
As our client's expert buyer, you will establish new processes and standards, improve vendor payment reconciliation, design and define new supplier agreements and manage inventory reduction.
Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities
- Revenue delivery for a product line that utilizes vendors across several categories, parts ordering, and category management
- Resolve part shortages to meet production schedule, collaborate with internal stakeholders, as well as warehouse / receiving teams for on time parts-to-production
- Generate bids (RFQs) and negotiates contracts with vendors, suppliers, etc.
- Analyze project material availability for customer orders and identify risk-buys and long-lead
time items through the MRP system
