What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registred Behavior Technician position at DABS Inc.?
DABS Inc works to support developmentally disabled adults who are facing placement challenges through Regional Center Social Services. We develop placement opportunities and help clients achieve a dignified experience of living and thriving within a network of community support and outreach.
We accomplish this through teaching life skills that enable our clients to reach their goals, create lasting and meaningful relationships, and to have access to equal opportunities for learning and community outreach. We also provide guidance and instruction to our clients so that they can make their own informed decisions based on their own needs and wishes without threatening nor restricting independence.
What You Will Do
- Under the supervision of a behavior analyst and our clinical team, you will effectively implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and will collect and record data to monitor progress
- You will aid clients with everyday activities that include light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and helping to create or provide personal hygiene routines
- You will assist with medication administration and providing transportation to clients when needed
- You will actively seek clinical direction from your supervisor in a timely manner and collaborate with parents / caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and continuity of care during and outside of sessions
- You will adhere to ethical guidelines regarding professional conduct and scope of practice
