What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Technician position at Daco Fire Equipment?
Daco Fire Equipment is currently looking for an EVT Service Technician for M- F Day shift at our Lubbock location.
Requirements:
• Ability to diagnose and repair any issues with Fire apparatus and emergency vehicles Will train
• CDL class B license or greater preferred.
• Ability to work in and on a variety of environments and projects
• Ability to perform a wide array of tasks (Welding, Fabrication, Electrical, ETC.)
• Reliable transportation
• Provide own tools
• Experience in Cummins and Allison troubleshooting and diagnostic preferred but not required.
Job Description
• Preform diagnostic, repairs, testing and make ready on Emergency response vehicles
• Some travel is required
• Able to lift 50ibs
• Able to work at heights up to approximately 40’ on rare occasions
• Maintain good customer relations while preforming excellent service to end user
• Be responsible for completing work orders in detail
• At times may have to work out in ever changing weather environments
• Continue to update job knowledge and training
• Will work with other employees and by oneself in order to complete job tasks
• Will be expected to work and maintain a save and constructive environment
• Expected to operate and keep company and customers vehicles safe, clean and well maintained
