Insurance Placement Specialist

Job Summary
This individual will be responsible to provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to team members and insurance company personnel throughout the placement process of new and renewal business.

Essential Functions

• Quote accounts with appropriate companies
• Document all conversations and correspondence in the agency management system throughout the quoting process
• Communicate with team members of any additional information required to obtain quotes
• Review quotes for accuracy and coverage/premium options
• Prepare final quote and applications
• Order policies once signatures, payment and necessary documents have been received
• Provide support to team members to reach agency performance goals
• Assist in informing and educating team members about coverage, exclusions, and exposures
• Actively participate in educational opportunities and keep informed of industry developments and trends
• Keep current on rates, forms and coverage changes through carrier bulletins, trade publications, seminars, and training

Education & Experience

• 10 years Insurance experience quoting commercial accounts
• Property & Casualty Insurance license
• A commitment to professional and ethical behavior
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; communication proficiency
• Detail-oriented, thorough with a focus on accuracy
• A self-starter, one who is highly motivated
• Familiarity with insurance forms and an advanced understanding of insurance
