Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor clients' health and well-being by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in social activities and recreational programs to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Support clients with memory care techniques to enhance cognitive function and recall.
- Cook nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of the clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Lift and assist clients as needed for mobility or during transfers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift individuals safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their highest level of independence.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings or weekends if necessary.
