This role is crucial to maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating product variances.
Key Responsibilities:
- METRC System Management: Managing and maintaining accurate product inventory within the METRC system
- Product Tagging & Tracking: Ensuring all cannabis products are properly tagged with RFID tags and their movement is accurately tracked within METRC from seed to sale
- Inventory Control: Monitoring and reconciling inventory discrepancies, conducting audits, and ensuring data accuracy
- Manifest Management: Creating, verifying, and accepting incoming and outgoing product manifests within the METRC system
- Reporting and Documentation: Generating accurate reports and maintaining detailed records as required by state regulations
- Compliance Audits: Leading or participating in internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company procedures
- Testing Coordination: Coordinating with third-party testing companies for sample submissions and ensuring test results are accurately recorded in METRC
- Training and Support: Providing training to staff on METRC procedures and compliance requirements
- Regulatory Updates: Staying up-to-date on changes in cannabis regulations and updating METRC processes accordingly
- Communication: Communicating effectively with regulators, internal teams, and testing facilities
- METRC Experience: Demonstrated experience using the METRC system for cannabis product tracking and reporting is often a key requirement
- Knowledge of Cannabis Regulations: Thorough understanding of state and local cannabis regulations, particularly related to inventory management and product tracking
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and compliance issues
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using tracking software and other relevant computer applications
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Cannabis Inventory Management: 1 year (Required)
- METRC Experience: 3 years (Required)
- Knowledge of CRA Compliance: 1 year (Required)
