Purpose of Role
The Coordinator of Annual Giving at Daemen University is a key member of the Institutional Advancement team and will support annual giving initiatives. This position will be primarily charged with organizing the various efforts associated with annual giving from direct mail and electronic donor solicitations, stewardship initiatives, and the Daemen Day of Giving, our 24-hour annual giving initiative.
About This Opportunity
Joining our Institutional Advancement team, the Coordinator of Annual Giving will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate all aspects of direct mail and electronic solicitations including managing deadlines with marketing and university IT staff.
- Develop and manage a calendar of advancement division projects and coordinate these initiatives with other university stakeholders such as marketing and the on-campus print shop.
- Participate in alumni events, donor events, and other advancement events and programs as needed.
- Prepare and execute a stewardship program for annual donors that includes multiple "touches" throughout the year and ensures that new donors are retained after their initial gift.
- Explore opportunities to institute a new student philanthropy program on campus.
- Coordinate the annual Employee Giving campaign.
- Manage the Daemen Day of Giving including working with departments across campus to educate and facilitate faculty and staff participation.
- Work with a multi-department campus committee to steward scholarship donors and provide annual reporting on endowment funds and student acknowledgement letters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience with direct mail, online giving and work with an annual giving program in higher education or a non-profit setting.
- Experience and comfort working with Raiser's Edge NXT or other comparable donor/alumni software platforms.
- Ability to work independently and successfully manage multi-functional and diverse activities at once.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Capability of working a range of activities regardless of day of the week or time of day/night; flexibility in schedule and ability to travel.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of institutional advancement or non-profit experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.

Daemen University offers a robust total compensation package that includes:
