What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Field Procurement Manager position at Dagen?
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Field Procurement Manager for our LNG client in Cameron, LA.
This is an in-office position.
This individual is an integral member of the onsite Construction Project execution team and will lead a team of Field Buyers in performing daily procurement activities supporting the Construction Project. This position is located at the Project site and will partner with the internal site construction Project Management, Engineering, Commissioning and Completions teams to ensure Project equipment, materials, consumables and minor subcontracting needs are fulfilled to support the Project schedule and budget.
This individual will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in daily site planning meetings to collect procurement requests, identify Project site material needs either from new developments or scopes, shortages or defects,
- Develop and distribute requests for quotes, collect proposals, prepare and issue Purchase Orders, in line with the corporate Procurement Policy and Procedures,
- Use knowledge of sources and suppliers across the industry to find approved alternative sources to fulfill Project material and equipment needs,
- Lead the team of Field Buyers to respond quickly to emergent procurement requests,
- Partner with the designated Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor and various Subcontractors, as needed, to fill material or equipment demands,
- Support the execution of Supplier Performance Management program execution,
- Maintain material purchase requests, supplier proposals, purchasing records, supplier feedback documentation as required per policy,
- Conduct employee performance management including goals setting, performance assessment and feedback, coaching, mentoring and training as required,
- Perform other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business or related field,
- 5 – 7 years or more in a similar Procurement, Sourcing or Supply Chain role involving construction projects with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical scope.
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing, procurement and delivery processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present key details and conclusions,
- Proficient with MS OfficeSuite, SAP and Coupa procurement systems is preferred,
- Interest in and comfort with being a part of a team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities,
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail,
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement reports,
- Willing to report in office daily, with occasional nights and weekend work required,
- Periodic travel to sites in Louisiana and/or suppliers in various domestic and international locations will be required.
Work Hours: 6AM – 4PM, Mon – Friday (overtime will be required)
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
