What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst position at Dagen?
We are recruiting a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst for our LNG client in Arlington, VA.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling for our Corporate FP&A team. This person will work closely with all members of the team (including Finance, Accounting, IT, Legal, Project Directors, Engineering, and Operations).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining the budgeting process, implementing new systems and analytical tools
- Collaborate with department leads to identify key performance indicators and business drivers including ongoing reporting and monitoring
- Assist with maintaining a reporting system, which provides management with appropriate information to drive business decisions
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual financial results for internal and external reporting
- Initiate, drive and implement those activities that improve the overall financial reporting and analysis of supporting areas
- Work with Leadership and Investor Relations team to coordinate and develop materials as needed
- Review contracts to understand accounting requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field;
- 2 or more years of professional experience in Finance
- Demonstrated understanding of key financial concepts, including but not limited to financial statements, cash flow, net present value, and return on investment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to simplify complex projects and concisely convey key insights
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities
- Passion for being a part of a dynamic team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with strong attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with SAP and SAC a plus
- Ability to accurately prepare professional daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with analyzing complex IT infrastructure and cost accounting
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
