Pest Control Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pest control methods, have experience with power tools and hand tools, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while ensuring the safety of clients and their environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and assess the extent of the problem.
• Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Utilize various pest control techniques, including chemical treatments, traps, and exclusion methods.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and farm machinery safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatments applied and follow-up recommendations.
• Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and provide exceptional customer service.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with lawn care, landscaping, or farm operations is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of pest control methods and safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week

Compensation Package:

• Commission pay

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Sioux Falls, SD 57103 (Required)
