Shifts for this part-time position will vary but will be scheduled within the County's business hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Flexibility is key, as you'll be a vital part of keeping our operations running smoothly.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR DEPUTY ASSESSOR - MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Your day will be a mix of administrative support, public interaction, and detailed record management. You'll assist the County Assessor by performing clerical duties, including customer service at the front counter, data entry, and maintaining departmental records. Handling motor vehicle licensing tasks will be part of your role, from processing title transactions to issuing license plates. Each interaction will be an opportunity to guide the public through vehicle registration processes, ensuring compliance with state regulations. Beyond licensing, you'll play a key role in planning and zoning by processing permits, organizing public meetings, and supporting building inspections. Your attention to detail will shine as you balance accounts, review documentation, and ensure accurate, timely records.
Here's what we need from you:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of specialized training related to the property industry
- 2 years of experience performing related duties OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
You may be required to be or become a notary public. The ability to type/operate ten key-adding machines and attend specialized training sessions by the Department of Motor Vehicles is preferred!
