ABOUT THE ROLE
This full-time, onsite role is based in Manila, UT. You'll typically work during business hours from 7 AM to 5 PM, with occasional night and weekend shifts to meet the needs of our facilities.
As a Facilities Maintenance Director, your day starts early, inspecting the county facilities to ensure everything is in tip-top shape. You tackle preventive maintenance on boilers, HVAC systems, and electrical systems, keeping everything running smoothly. When the snow falls, you're out ensuring sidewalks and parking lots are clear and safe. You coordinate repairs with vendors, oversee a small team, and jump into hands-on projects-whether it's fixing a plumbing issue, replacing a light fixture, or beautifying the park grounds. By the end of the day, you know you've made an impact by keeping Daggett County running like clockwork.
The Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
- High school diploma with 2 years of trade or vocational training
- 5 years in building maintenance, including HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
- Proficient with tools and knowledgeable about construction techniques, safety standards, and facility systems
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Energy management certification
- Construction expertise
