Summary
As the Front Desk Coordinator at Dague Dental, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position is essential for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and supporting the administrative functions of our dental practice. The hours of operation are M-W 8-5 and Th 7:30-4, averaging 33-35 hours/week.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication to interact with patients, dentists, and staff.
- Works well in a team to coordinate efficiently with hygienists and dentists.
- Provides clear information regarding appointments, payments, and insurance.
Technical & Administrative Skills
- Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental.
- Scheduling patient appointments, recalls, and follow-ups.
- Insurance verification and knowledge of dental coding (ADA codes) and billing.
- Handling multi-line phones, emails, and text reminders.
- Processing patient payments, co-pays, and financing options.
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office.
- Strong attention to detail in insurance claims, patient records, and consent forms.
- Problem-solving skills to handle scheduling conflicts and last-minute cancellations.
Experience & Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some employers prefer an associate’s degree or coursework in healthcare administration.
- Previous experience in a dental office or customer service is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with basic dental terminology and procedures to assist patients with questions.
