Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being in a home or community setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide catheter care and support for clients with specific medical needs.
- Observe and report changes in the patient’s condition or behavior to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness in the living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and cleaning.
- Document medical information accurately and maintain up-to-date records as required.
- Lift and transfer clients safely while adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Foster a supportive and positive atmosphere that encourages client independence and dignity.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of catheter care and other relevant medical procedures is an asset.
- Ability to assist clients with ADLs effectively while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions and report any concerns promptly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
- Must be able to perform light cleaning tasks and laundry as part of daily responsibilities.
- Physical capability to lift clients safely and perform necessary mobility assistance tasks.

Pay: $14.08 - $15.00 per hour
