Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly payroll tax balancing and submit reports to outsourced tax vendors.
- Perform weekly internal payroll tax audits and process tax adjustments as needed.
- Review/audit quarterly reports for unemployment, state/local withholding, and annual returns.
- Collect payroll tax downloads, balance payroll tax data, and process deposits timely from multiple sources.
- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns, state unemployment tax returns, and prior quarter/yearend adjustments.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of tax experience in payroll for a large, multi-state employer.
- 1 years of accounting experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Previous payroll processing experience.
