Join abra Auto Body, a division of Dahl Automotive, in this dual role as a Body Shop Technician/Painter in beautiful Winona, MN! abra Auto Body is a premier auto body repair facility, recognized as a top choice for many insurance companies in the area, which means the shop is always full and you can be productive and successful!
Responsibilities
- Refinish all assigned vehicles, following the written repair order and ABRA’s operational excellence processes.
- Prepares spray-out panels to determine blend needs.
- Performs all refinish procedures according to factory specifications and ABRA policies.
- Follow all paint manufacturing guidelines
- Repair and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, following the written repair order and ABRA’s operational excellence process.
- Approaches repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process. De-trims and assembles vehicles, putting parts on parts carts. Performs pre-pulls to make repair versus replace decisions.
- Assists in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary. Use good judgment in determining when damaged parts can be safely repaired for cost and cycle-time savings.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid drivers license and clean driving history
- 2-5 years automotive refinishing experience

Welding, suspension, framework experience a plus OR willing to learn/train

Certifications listed above or equivalent experience and eagerness to improve
- I-CAR certification preferred
- Comply with all safety requirements, respirator safety, and fitment/usage. Maintain compliance to pass required safety mask fit test
- Strong organizational skills
