What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Leader position at Dahlia Health?
Come Transform Adolescent Healthcare as Dahlia Health’s Physician Leader
Who We Are
Dahlia Health is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare for adolescent girls, tackling the unique and often overlooked health challenges they face. From hormonal conditions like PCOS to mental health struggles and nutritional imbalances, the healthcare system has long failed to provide the specialized, proactive, and compassionate care that young women need. We are here to change that.
We are building a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive care platform that meets teenage girls where they are—digitally, accessibly, and holistically. Through cutting-edge virtual care, evidence-based interventions, and a team of top-tier clinicians, Dahlia Health is redefining how adolescent medicine is delivered. If you’re passionate about reshaping healthcare and making a tangible impact on young lives, this is the opportunity for you.
The Role: Pioneering a New Era of Adolescent Medicine
We are seeking an Adolescent Medicine Specialist, OB/GYN, or Family Medicine physician who is ready to lead the charge in transforming adolescent healthcare. As our Physician Leader, you will be the clinical visionary and operational leader, ensuring that Dahlia Health delivers world-class, empathetic, and innovative care to the next generation.
This role is about more than just medicine—it’s about shaping the future of how young women receive care, advocate for their health, and access the support they need to thrive. With conditions in teenage years affecting long-term metabolic, reproductive, and emotional health, early intervention can change the trajectory of a young girl’s life. You will be at the forefront of this movement, driving clinical excellence, patient empowerment, and groundbreaking care models. This role is part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time role.
You Will:
- Lead and oversee the clinical operations of Dahlia Health, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and deep empathy.
- Provide direct patient care on our platform to stay engaged with real-world experiences and continuously improve the model.
- Develop and refine evidence-based clinical protocols that set new standards in adolescent healthcare.
- Be the final decision-maker on clinical matters, ensuring quality, safety, and excellence in every aspect of care delivery.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Executive teams to optimize the patient journey, provider workflows, and future service offerings.
- Be an ambassador for Dahlia Health, representing our mission within the medical community and beyond.
- Strategize for growth, using clinical insights and patient outcomes to shape Dahlia’s expansion and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Board-certified in Adolescent Medicine or OB/GYN or Family Medicine.
- Active medical license in New York State and residency in NYC (strong preference).
- Visionary leadership experience, with a track record of inspiring and managing clinical teams.
- Passion for adolescent health, particularly in addressing the impact of conditions like PCOS, Dysmenorrhea, and Endometriosis among other hormonal and reproductive health concerns.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, excited about working in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
- Experience in digital health, telemedicine, or health tech (preferred but not required).
- Strategic thinking, with the ability to translate clinical insights into business growth and innovation.
Why Join Dahlia Health?
This is a rare opportunity to redefine an entire field of medicine and be part of a company that prioritizes impact over tradition. At Dahlia Health, we offer:
- A chance to be at the forefront of a movement transforming care for young women.
