JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the daily functioning of the health care needs of Residents as well as supervision of the nursing department. The desired candidate will have vast knowledge on both state and federal rules and regulations and will work well with a team of dedicated staff members to provide excellent patient care in our facility. We are seeking an LPN with assisted living experience.

Minimum eligibility requirements:
- At least two or more years prior experience in Long Term Care setting
- Supervisory experience desirable.
- Possess strong leadership qualities.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
- Must meet all health requirements.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly while recognizing that the community is the residents’ home.

Essential Functions:
- Oversee medical and health service activities and personnel
- Plan and coordinate health services
- Work collaboratively with physicians to implement appropriate healthcare programs
- Maintain a clean environment to ensure patient safety
- Establish, train and enforce healthcare policies and procedure
- Assure fiscal accountability within nursing department
- Foster team unity and a cohesive approach
Customer service:
- Responsible for ensuring that all team members are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
- Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents’ families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).

Working conditions:
- Scheduled hours; available evening and weekends for events.

Physical/Sensory requirement:
