The company is currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant II.
Responsibilities
Position Summary/ Primary Purpose
The Financial Accountant Analyst II is responsible for assuring the integrity and completeness of the general ledger and financial statements. Assumes responsibility and works with a high degree of accuracy utilizing data from multiple systems. This position reports to the Accounting Manager or the Treasurer.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Prepares A/R and A/P process
- Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including journal entries, account balance reconciliations.
- Prepare income statements, balance sheets.
- Addresses internal/external audits and J- SOX compliance testing
- Execute J-SOX process as the inspector to the DNA subsidiaries.
- Supports and executes ongoing process improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Process banking transactions.
Basic Broad Knowledge
- Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Computer Programs— Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP (a plus).
- English Language— Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years or accounting experience
- CPA or MBA a plus
Demonstrated Physical Abilities
Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
