Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician III position performs a variety of maintenance activities within the office and manufacturing environment as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs in accordance with Safety and OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements
- Accurately complete and document work orders promptly in CMMS to maintain high-quality standards
- Troubleshoots all electrical breakdowns and makes repairs
- Installs new or purchased equipment
- Supplies proper information for the acquisition of replacement parts
- Troubleshoots and repairs stationary and mobile equipment
- Trains and participates in the Emergency Evacuation Plan
- Coordinates and schedules maintenance activities with department managers
- Participates in continuous improvement projects
- Coordinates and assists in inspections of critical building systems and environmental compliance
- Calibrates testing instruments
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including maintenance shop
- On call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations as necessary
- Carries out all other dusties as assianed by Management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- 2-year certification from a trade school and/or 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
- Knowledge of building systems
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment, such as laser, press brake, saw, welding, and press
- Knowledge of electrical wiring including high voltage (110V-480V)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of single and three phase electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical control systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, including air compressors
- Must be able to understand mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings
