Daikin Applied is hiring a HVAC Test Laboratory Manager to support our continued growth. The Manager will manage all activities of our Applied Development Center to test HVAC equipment and components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Location : Plymouth, MN - On-site
What you will do :
- Coordinates the test and model shop schedule, procedures, and results.
- Oversees use of computer software and hardware to conduct tests on mechanical products and systems.
- Maintains Technical Center files and records. Suggests innovative ideas to improve data acquisition.
- Confer with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation.
- Staffs, trains and supervises Engineering Technicians and Model Shop personnel. Maintains a competent and motivated staff to carry out departmental duties.
- Establishes safety procedures, reviews work processes for ergonomic impact, enforces Personal. Protective Equipment requirements and maintains equipment and testing facility in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Directs and coordinates activities concerned with procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to perform product tests or develop product models.
- Oversees maintenance of the Technical Center facility and equipment. Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and coordinates repairs as needed. Establishes schedule for regular preventive maintenance.
- Manages Technical Center budget, including capital expenditures.
