Sr. Sustainability Analyst

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time Senior Sustainability Analyst to develop and implement sustainability programs in accordance with business unit and corporate goals and objectives. Under general supervision, the position will be responsible for working with corporations or individual customers / clients to reduce negative impacts on the environment. What you will do:

• Develop and assess viability of strategies meant to support conservation, increase usage of renewable resources, improve efficiency, or reduce energy costs or wasteful output. Track initiatives to company roadmap and report on action plan to milestone achievement.
• Analyze compliance regulations and ensure products and their associated processes and procedures comply.
• Partner with Daikin Applied Americas environmental, production, and operations teams to report on Greenheart Factory initiatives and its overall impact on custom air handler equipment.
• Participate in compliance and inspection activities; report on findings and make recommendations.
• Support corporate leadership to align cross-functional knowledge and collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations and business processes, driving accountability and ownership throughout functions.
• Conduct assessments to identify environmental footprint and areas of environmental impact within manufacturing processes, including energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions.
• Collect and analyze data on sustainability metrics, track progress toward goals, and prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate results to senior management and stakeholders
• Respond to requests for data and information from critical customers, either in writing, presentation, or system input.
• Effectively communicate with business leaders, other department managers, and employees on a regular basis to discuss sustainability strategies and programs.
• Stay abreast of environmental regulations and standards relevant to manufacturing operations in order to communicate critical issues to leadership, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in sustainability.
• Support sales and marketing to deliver a concise value proposition to the market and provide support and feedback in commercial inquiries and needs.

Minimum Requirements

• 4 Year Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Management, or related areas and 4 years of experience in sustainability / environmental reporting or consulting, data analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This role is primarily onsite in the office with some time onsite at the factories and may require travel (~ 15% - 25%) primarily to MX.

Preferred Requirements:

• Strategic thinking, experience in driving sustainability projects and initiatives
• Demonstrated competency in subject area of sustainability and manufacturing practices
• Demonstrated data analysis and reporting acumen

The typical salary for this position ranges from $73,300.00 - $111,600.00 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
