JOB TITLE:                                        Facilities Engineer

LOCATION:                                     19001 Kermier Road, Waller, TX 77484

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Utilize knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics to develop, plan and oversee projects designed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the lab equipment utilized to test HVAC equipment. Responsible for the oversight of the cooling, heating and prototype lab area, and for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the testing equipment required for the daily production of test data while ensuring compliance with of ISO, AHRI, ASHRAE and UL standards. Assist the Facilities Supervisor with project implementation such as scheduling and planning of Lab Facilities projects including capital projects, engineering required projects and basic facilities maintenance support. Work directly with other Facilities Engineers or Managers to continuously monitor and improve the performance of test equipment. Provide support to the Lab Facilities Team for troubleshooting of day-to-day issues related to testing equipment, utilizing knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, mass transfer, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, and construction. Undertake other projects as assigned by the management.

Minimum Education Requirements: Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

Minimum Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of experience as a Lab Test engineer or related position analyzing test setups, test methods, and test data, including the maintenance of ISO, AHRI, ASHRAE and UL standards including experience in the fields of Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics and Mass Transfer.
