Plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of warehouse and logistics operations for equipment, parts and supply to support the manufacturing of HVAC products. Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data to improve productivity and efficiency. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, and improvement of workflows. Utilize proven lean principles for warehousing and manufacturing areas to establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. Utilize AutoCAD software to design racking, layout, workflow and material handling processes. Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties. Interact with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) vendors and suppliers, staying informed on industry trends. Track metrics and metric generation. Recommend reorganizing workflow, relocating of equipment, and purchase of equipment. Coordinate work projects internally with the corresponding departments and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget. Work with the Solutions Group on projects and data gathering when assigned. Stay up to date on understanding Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Metrics. Take direction from lead, work within well-defined instructions, and work with other Daikin logistics areas and manufacturing when needed.
Minimum Education Requirement : Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience Requirement : One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment analyzing and improving processes, including experience utilizing lean principles and AutoCAD design software; auditing multiple contractor groups and verifying correct and timely completion of projects; troubleshooting issues, documenting solutions and providing training including one (1) year of experience creating dashboards to track project progress, contractor efficiency, project milestone attainment using Tableau, and verify inventory accuracy using Oracle software.
