The Human Resources, Investigator Employee Relations is responsible for conducting investigations involving complex employee issues to gather information and make recommendations regarding appropriate actions to resolve issues. This role is imperative to promote consistency and fairness in all practices and further our values to ensure a positive work environment while mitigating risk for the organization.
Position Responsibilities may include;
- Independently lead and conduct complex investigations into allegations of violations of company policies and procedures in an efficient, thorough, and professional manner. Investigations will often involve sensitive subjects, reviewing legal and compliance guidelines, and finding, pulling, and using data from various systems as appropriate for accurate and consistent outcomes.
- Exercise judgment and provide analysis involving extremely complex and varied employee relations problems grounded in in-depth review of company policy and procedures, employment law and other intangible variance factors.
- Engage in strategy to create and help implement proactive programs and plans related to minimize risk.
- Respond to internal complaints presented through various avenues, including employee reporting systems, email, and direct calls, within policy-mandated timelines, meeting service level agreements.
- Conduct interviews of employees, managers, witnesses, and others as appropriate.
- Partner with People Operations, Legal, Outside Counsel, Compliance, Employee Assistance Program, leadership, and other resources as appropriate on sensitive employee relations issues.
- Author professional reports in a timely manner and maintain well-organized and accurate case files.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining positive customer and client relations.
- Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, practices and all state and federal employment and labor laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned e.g. special projects, trends and key performance indicator analyses.
- Identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex employee relations matters of diverse scope and nature for predictive and reactive recommendations.

Experience:
- 2-5 years’ experience in conducting investigative fieldwork, including complainant, witness, and subject employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field preferred
