The Quality Supervisor is a prevention-oriented facilitator of error-free change management, comprehensive corrective and preventive action, quality improvement, supplier oversight, and general process control. Supervises hourly personnel and oversees defect control in the plant. Product inspection and process audit-oriented leader that works effectively to manage data collection, measurement systems, and resource allocation.
Position Responsibilities may include :
- Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions and ensure staff is following processes and procedures including safety protocols
- Collaborate with the Manager for the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department
- Monitor, review and approve quality audits
- Oversee incoming inspection activities
- Manage defect control systems, Corrective Action and Preventive Action processes
- Process and analyze return material authorizations
- Compile and analyze inspection and audit metrics, identify trends and report findings to leadership
- Manage Lab measurements and studies
- Identify continuous process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Maintain 5S standard – organization, cleaning, structure within the work group
- Perform additional activities / duties to support ongoing business needs
