Key responsibilities and accountabilities :
Maintains a clean, neat, and organized warehouse environment
Organizes inventory for increased efficiency and processing
Understands how to organize product in the warehouse according to branch manager’s specificationsHandles equipment and product carefully, as to avoid damageReports any building maintenance issues immediately, including any issues with dock doors, dock levelers, light bulbs, etc.Performs branch loading, unloading and receiving processesUtilizes proper techniques for packaging goods and loading / unloading trucks
Checks in and stores received product in the appropriate designated areas for stock and sold itemsProvides all receiving paperwork to the Branch Administrator for secondary accuracy check and computer entryPerforms the following functions according to specified ABCO policy, including following proper paperwork procedures :Stock transfers
Returned goods (both stock and sold orders)Direct vendor returns (such as empty refrigerant cylinders)Receipt of vendor direct shipmentsMaintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of equipment and its proper utilization, including pallet jacks and other non-powered warehouse equipmentOccasionally responsible for additional branch projects as requested, such as the repositioning of product in the warehouse and / or showroomDriving and DeliveriesDelivers goods to job sites and customers’ shops in a safe and timely manner
Ensures that ABCO has all proper documentation related to the delivery of goods, including customer delivery tickets, bills of lading, hazardous materials paperwork, time logs, route sheets and all other DOT and company required documents
Ensures signature capture at each deliveryIf route requires, driver must enter closed facility, and off load merchandise.Loads and unloads packages from truck utilizing proper techniques for safety and efficiencyMaintains professional and courteous demeanor when working with customers and colleaguesMaintains a satisfactory driving record and obeys all traffic lawsVehicle MaintenancePerforms daily inspection of vehicle, after and after operation, to ensure vehicle is in working order and safe for travel
Identifies and reports to management all vehicle maintenance issues, noting tires, oil and filter changes, and all other regular maintenancePosition Knowledge and TrainingMaintains strong knowledge of delivery area
Attends all required meetings, training programs, and quarterly driving safety meetingsMaintains working knowledge of current state and federal transport regulationsRequired Certifications and AbilitiesValid driver license – Class A or B (current)
Hazmat certified (current)Medical card (current)Certified to operate forklift and hi-lowAbility to drive manual transmissionAbility to lift at least 50 lbs.Manual Dexterity – must be able to use hands and arms for handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things.Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
