What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT - 2nd Shift position at Daikin?
The EMT responds to emergencies and treats employees that have been injured or are ill due to work-related incidents in designated facility. Supports the Health & Safety (H&S) Department to effectively identify, treat, investigate, and prevent occupational injuries and illnesses. Provides first responder training (AED, CPR, First Aid, etc.) per protocol. Manages daily support activities within a location.
Position Responsibilities may include :
- Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill persons
- Function within the scope of medical care as defined protocol and state, regional, and local regulatory agencies
- Follow medical protocols and Company procedures
- Prepare documentation and reports accurately and timely and maintain records (Injury treatment documentation, Employee Files, Incident Investigation Files, etc.)
- Train first responders as needed and provide support and guidance to first responders
- Coordinate and run audiometric testing requirements
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist with H&S compliance audits
- Assist with incident investigations and required documentation
- Assist with post-incident case management
- May perform post-accident or reasonable cause drug and alcohol testing as needed
- Assists the Worker's Compensation Administrator as required
- Maintain confidential information
- Continue to expand knowledge base of basic medical / legal principles
- Ensure personal well-being
- Perform additional projects / duties to support ongoing business needs
