Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Weekend Shift
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to provide total care for a bed-bound client. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting individuals with advanced care needs and possess the patience, attentiveness, and skill to ensure the client's comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide total care, including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Reposition the client every two hours to prevent pressure sores and ensure comfort.
- Perform range-of-motion exercises as directed to maintain mobility and prevent stiffness.
- Monitor the client’s health and report any changes in condition to the appropriate medical professionals or family members.
· Assist with feeding, hydration, and medication , ensuring all care is delivered with dignity and respect.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by changing linens, managing laundry, and ensuring the client’s area is tidy.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience providing care for bed-bound individuals is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition clients safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (required)
- DDA Trainings (DDA Cert, Mandt, Blood Borne Pathogen, Abuse and Neglect.
- Clean Maryland Driving Record
- Driver License
- CNA or HHA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
