Position Summary :
The Director of Training and Development will lead the creation, implementation, and management of comprehensive training and professional development programs for Vacation Village’s timeshare sales team. This role is responsible for designing innovative learning strategies that enhance sales performance, develop leadership capabilities, and promote a culture of continuous growth. The Director will collaborate closely with sales and HR leadership to build training initiatives that align with business goals and support long-term success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Develop and oversee training and development programs tailored for sales professionals, sales leadership, and other key roles within the organization.
- Design and implement onboarding programs that accelerate new hire productivity and reinforce company values and sales methodologies.
- Lead the ongoing professional development of the sales team through workshops, coaching sessions, e-learning courses, and skill-building activities.
- Create and facilitate leadership development programs to prepare high-potential team members for future growth opportunities.
- Create and facilitate workshops, role-playing exercises, and continuing education sessions to enhance sales techniques, objection handling, and closing skills.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through performance metrics, feedback, and sales results, refining content as needed.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify training needs, knowledge gaps, and areas for skill enhancement .
- Act as a mentor and coach, helping sales team members enhance their skills, improve performance, and achieve professional growth .
- Ensure all training materials remain compliant with industry regulations, ethical sales practices, and company policies .
- Stay informed of industry trends, sales methodologies, and adult learning best practices to keep training programs competitive and engaging.
- Develop and maintain a library of training resources , including manuals, interactive digital content, and video-based learning modules.
- Partner with Human Resources to align training initiatives with talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies.
