Position Summary:
The Vice President of Inventory Management is responsible for managing and optimizing the use of resort, hotel, vacation rental, and experiential inventory, ensuring availability aligns with sales goals, customer satisfaction, and revenue targets. This role requires strategic oversight of inventory allocations, forecasting, and balancing owner, rental, subscription, and marketing needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, revenue optimization, and a deep understanding of the vacation ownership or hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute data-driven strategies to maximize inventory utilization, enhance pricing effectiveness, and optimize occupancy portfolio performance for sustained growth.
- Develop and implement strategic inventory allocation plans to optimize sales, marketing initiatives, owner reservations, and rental program performance.
- Forecast inventory availability to support strategic sales initiatives, rental operations, and overall operational planning.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Services, Accounting Management, and Resort Operations teams to drive strategic inventory utilization and maximize performance.
- Oversee inventory tracking, reporting, and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with vacation ownership agreements, exchange company requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with IT and operations teams to enhance inventory management technology and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through strategic pricing and utilization of unsold inventory.
- Provide leadership and guidance to inventory support teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in inventory management, vacation ownership, revenue management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive business decisions.
- Experience with creating reports and writing SQL queries to pull information from data warehouse systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
