Job Summary : This position is primarily responsible for utilizing professional skills in providing diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems along with preventive care focused on health risk factor reduction. Additional duties include ensuring efficient and effective patient care through joint planning and problem solving with clinic staff. Advanced practice provider provides care consistent with medical best practices and the policies and procedures of the organization. Protects the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients and their families and possesses the ability to work independently and collaborate, when appropriate, with other Center healthcare providers to offer integrated care to patients of all ages.

Job Requirements : Bachelors' or Masters' degree in the field of science from an accredited program and Board Certified by a National PA Certification Board as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required. Must have current Virginia license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with prescription authority and current DEA number, NPI number, and basic life support card. Five (5) to seven (7) years progressive experience in a healthcare setting required. Must exude excellent oral and written communication and professional interpersonal skills. Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
