Job Overview:Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and efficient coordination of subcontractors and resources. This role requires leadership, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction operations and safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing projects valued at $15 million or more, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of subcontractors and workers, including scheduling, progress tracking, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor work and materials to ensure compliance with quality control standards at all project stages.
- Maintain daily job site logs, documenting visitors, job actions, materials, and problem resolutions.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts; organize meetings and collaborate with team members as needed.
- Plan inspections, obtain construction permits, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety and quality guidelines.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and suppliers.
- Order and manage equipment, ensuring regular maintenance schedules are followed.
- Maintain an organized and safe job site, meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection.
- Address and resolve on-site issues and emergencies promptly.
- Proficient in software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of construction operations, processes, and Massachusetts State Codes and Regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports and correspond professionally with architects, clients, vendors, and government officials.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, such as safety regulations and procedure manuals.
- Keen attention to detail to identify non-compliance and propose effective solutions.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods, work in varying climate conditions, and lift up to 100 lbs.
- Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent managing projects valued at $15 million or more.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
