Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This position is for night shift coverage from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with availability for weekends and holidays as needed. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in neonatal respiratory care and a passion for delivering high-quality care to our most vulnerable patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized respiratory therapy to neonates in the NICU
- Administer oxygen, aerosol therapy, and ventilator management
- Perform intubations and assist with surfactant administration and resuscitation
- Monitor ventilator settings and adjust based on blood gas and patient response
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and document patient status and progress
- Assist during high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal support
Requirements:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Minimum 1–2 years of NICU experience – Required
- Strong knowledge of neonatal respiratory therapy techniques and equipment
- BLS and NRP certifications – Required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled if needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting
- Additional certifications such as PALS or ACLS are a plus
Contract: 13 weeks
Sign on bonus up to $200
