This position offers :
- Starting pay of $27.60 / hr. up to top pay of $38.95 / hr.
- Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential
- additional shift differential for off-shifts

General Purpose of the Position :
Maintain and support environmental initiatives and training requirements across the plant
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain, develop, and update any plant training records and environmental documentation with State and other required agencies.Work with other support groups on product launches and training.Work with other business entities to develop and share best practices, conduct compliance audits, and implement proactive practices to reduce near misses and accidentsSchedule and maintain new and annual training; including annual Train the Trainer, 7-Step Training, Skills Matrix, SWI, Safety, and Environmental.Implement Safety & Environmental improvements based on legal and other requirementsBackup support for areas of need such as Safety and TOS perform other duties as assignedSupport certifications of solderers to IPC 610 A Standards.Lead and support cross-training of employees to other departments to meet goal of 3 wide / 3 deepParticipate in solder program to certify new solderers and ensure the development of new skills and maintenance of skills for current solderers.Maintain MSDS documentation, ISO 14001 qualification, compliance documentation, and other documentation. Audit and train to ISO4001Perform training in multiple aspects of production and skill levels.Evaluate, record, and monitor training activities and program effectiveness.Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.Develop, evaluate, and implement training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, and handouts.Develop training materials to include components and part numbersDeveloping constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copyUsing computers and computer systems to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information.Perform assigned tasks within the stated or implied deadlines and meet all expected deliverablesSelecting and using training / instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.Ability to read and update SWI as neededParticipate in Contractor and New Hire OrientationsWork with other cross-functional groups to gather feedback and make improvements to programsAbility to learn new jobs, tasks, functions and develop training for these functions.Perform cross-functional audits across manufacturingMentoring new employees / contractors to ensure training is successful and questions / concerns are addressed while working with team on day-to-day environmental issues.Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughoutAbility to operate hand tools and small power tools in a safe and non-destructive manner.Minimum Requirements :
Education : High school diploma / GED; AA Degree PreferredYears of Experience : 2 yearsOther Qualifications :Knowledge of ISO4001 preferredWilling to pursue a IPC 610 A Certified Trainer / Must achieve Certification within first yearWillingness to take charge, and offer opinions and direction.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Work hands-on with large groups and one-on-one atmosphere.Ability to present information well in front of groups.Willingness to support circuit board inspections across manufacturingWillingness to achieve a level 4 class 3 solder level.Ability to interpret and implement legal guidelinesKnowledge of productPrevious mechanical experiencePrevious experience in safety / environmental responsibilityPhysical requirements include :
60% of the time standing and walking and 40% of the time sittingReach, bend, kneel and have a high level of manual dexterityOccasionally be required to lift and carry.Could be asked to team lift more than 50 pounds
