Inside the Role

This position will lead the Fleet Service Management Team, who is responsible for the CX and Service excellence support to DTNA's top 100 customers. Ideal candidate will not only have a cross-functional background within DTNA organizations but will also possess a proven leadership competency that instills integrity and influences the vision of the company. A strong passion for CX and Customer Support drives candidate to set and accomplish short- and long-term goals, establish priorities, direct resources strategically, and objectively evaluate outcomes. Final candidate leads teams under a participatory leadership style, encourages and directs employee development, and considers trust as the foundation of teamwork. The person in this position will use continuous improvement methods supported by superior communication and collaboration skills to create a stimulating work environment striving for the highest in performance standards for the benefit of our customers, dealers and DTNA.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at Daimler Truck

  • Continuously identify, actively participate and contribute to Aftermarket Strategic Initiatives to grow the business including (but not limited to) : Continuous Improvement and Dealer and Customer Service
  • Ensure that people / resources are adequately deployed to effectively address field needs and performance.
  • Interface continuously with Dealers, Customers and Detroit / Portland CX Support Teams
  • Oversee CX initiatives with other Field Service Directors, CX Org. and Service Operations Team
  • Support Sales efforts by communicating to potential customers and Dealers with personal visits and presenting the commitment to the product.
  • Develop and implement training plans for department personnel to ensure that they maximize the capability to perform their respective job functions.
  • Lead, motivate and develop employees in the business based on DTNA objectives and the detailed objectives in the Aftermarket. Actively lead and support DE&I within the Aftermarket organization.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development to FSM Service Team to inspire engagement of entire department.
  • Ensure that the targets agreed upon are accomplished
  • Guarantee the compliance of all group and location-oriented policies (safety and environmental protection regulations, working time order, integrity code, guidelines etc.) according to current regulations / documents.
  • Brief or instruct all assigned employees regarding the corresponding regulations and confirm adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business or related discipline
  • MBA or Masters in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related preferred
  • At least 12 years of related experience, including 4 years at the management / supervisory level.
  • Knowledge of automotive or commercial vehicle industry as well as basic technical product and process knowledge
  • Proven ability to lead projects and staff members in companywide projects and policy change, is required
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills for collaborating with customers and dealers

    This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)-

    Detroit, MI US, Fort Mill, SC US, Portland, OR US. Relocation assistance for this position is available when the selected candidate meets eligibility criteria.

  • Hold a valid existing Visa (L1A, L1B, L2, TN, H1B, H4 EAD, OPT EAD, CPT)
  • Daimler Truck North America employees working under an existing U.S. Daimler Truck North America Visa
  • Those eligible for a TN Visa (Canadian or Mexican National working in an Engineering, Accounting or Scientific Technologist capacity with an aligning degree)
  • Those eligible for an L-1 (inter-company) Daimler Truck visa under the Corporate Blanket L-1 program would require at least one-year of qualifying experience in the last three years
