**Key Responsibilities:**
Assist the kitchen manager with daily operations, food preparation, and related activities to ensure customers receive safe, delicious food and beverages promptly. This includes preparing food, assisting with menu design, purchasing food and beverages, training and directing kitchen staff, scheduling, supervising food preparations, ensuring food safety standards, and handling any food-related concerns. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, properly dispose of food waste, and adhere to all health and safety regulations. Additionally, assist with tracking and reviewing kitchen records, workflow, and other tasks to optimize profit for The Creamery Kitchen and deliver an exceptional dining experience for customers.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Assist with overseeing food preparation, portion sizes, and presentation
* Help determine supply needs for the week to maintain an inventory of food, beverages, and supplies
* Serve as kitchen manager when the kitchen manager is off duty
* Ensure meal quality; check freshness of food and ingredients
* Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality; clean and disinfect equipment and work areas or arrange for cleaning and maintenance services to comply with health and sanitary regulations
* Monitor sanitation practices and ensure staff adherence to health and food safety standards
* Motivate staff during demanding service periods
* Address complaints regarding food quality or service
* Maintain accurate business records
**Requirements:**
**_Education and Experience:_
* Vocational school, trade school, or culinary program with 1-3 years of culinary experience
* Culinary and food safety certifications preferred
