Job Overview
The Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heating, cooling, compression, and water systems within the plant. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical equipment, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain boiler operation and related equipment
- Conduct daily checks on refrigeration, air compressors, and sewer systems
- Document and record meter readings for gas, sewer, electric, and water usage
- Perform weekly and monthly inspections of facilities and equipment
- Notify maintenance department of repairs needed and assist in repair work as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related fields
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- Boiler Certification and/or License required during employment
