We are seeking an experienced Churn Operator to join our team. As a Churn Operator, you will be responsible for operating churns in an efficient and sanitary manner to provide product for fillers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pull pasteurized cream inventory as required and send it to the lab for analysis.
• Plan ahead for proper setup of temperature and aging of pasteurized cream to ensure optimal production.
• Maintain salt solution at the correct consistency for production purposes.
• Ensure churns operate within specified parameters.
• Record accurate and legible data on pasteurized cream, butter production, and added ingredients.
• Keep the working area clean and free of loose items.
• Capped or sealed lines and ports.
• Update the board in the office with relevant information as needed.
• Communicate operations to supervisors and leads.
• Collaborate with processors to manage cream, silos, butter milk, etc.
• Assist in directing the flow of product to specific fillers.
• Clean and perform CIP equipment as necessary.
• Maintain a sanitary environment for yourself and equipment.
• Check footbath sanitizer, hand soap dispensers, and paper towels as required.
• Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
• Comply with all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
• Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
