Job Summary
The Industrial Electrical Specialist role at Dairy Farmers of America involves performing electrical maintenance tasks on plant utility and process infrastructure. This includes installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, electrical components, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities include working with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments. The successful candidate will also act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
Key duties include programming, troubleshooting, and operating programmable controllers, distributive control systems, and interlocking systems. Additionally, the individual must install equipment for new electrical services, perform work on site automation systems, and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from trade school or technical school in related discipline preferred
- 2 to 4 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and automation system maintenance experience
- Certification and/or License Electrician journeyman license or other location specific electrician license; master electrician preferred
