What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Services Specialist - Human Resources position at Dairy Farmers of America?
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer weekly payroll
§ Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrived
- Greet visitors and maintain visitor logbook
- Perform various Human Resource duties
- Execute recruitment for all non-exempt plant staffing; resume screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, ensuring completion of background checks/testing, etc.
- Facilitate the new hire onboarding process for employees
- Coordinate new employee orientation for new hires; ensure new hire paperwork is complete including tax documents, I-9, E-verify, etc.
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs
- Administrative maintenance of EHS Dashboard
- File worker's comp and OSHA reports as accidents occur in the workplace. Follow up from beginning to end with all pertinent detail regarding each incident
- Monitor DairyU Trainings for compliance
- Maintain training sheets
- Maintain employee personnel files, recruiting documentation, employment verification, benefits information and other documentation as required; track and follow-up on any missing documentation as needed
- Schedule plant tours, arrange meetings, and facilitate various plant activities
§ Follow all DFA GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
§ Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgement
§ Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
§ Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

High school education or equivalent experience
