General Purpose:
Plans and schedules production at the facility using “best practices”, current demand forecasts, and available operational information. Coordinates SAP for planning/scheduling of finished product. Works daily with Customer Service to ensure service levels are met.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translate orders into a sequential work schedule
- Plans and schedules production.
- Analyze production specifications and capacity data and perform mathmatical calculcations to determine production process
- Assist Production in managing inventory and conduct cycle counts.
- Communicates to Customer Service any shortages/problems with finished product prior to shipments.
- Communicate with department supervisors to determine status of assigned production projects
- Manages plant master data including development of new materials and upkeep of current ones.
- Perform SAP duties and operate the production scale interface as required.
- Assist in closing process orders to ensure accurate data for month end close
- Attend scheduled production meetings as requested
- Assist in periodic cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory
- Communicate with Customer Service related to short lead time orders, delayed orders, or short shipments as needed
- Assist in other production areas as required.
- Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in training of new personnel
- Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues.
- Perform related / additional duties as requested.

- High School Diploma
- 3 years of experience in production area
- Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge / Ability to learn and use various computer applications. Microsoft office applications SAP preferred
- Understand planning and production methodologies.
- Very good understanding of plant processes in how it relates to production process for each line
- Time and detail sensitive.
Travel:
- 5%-15% (1-3 times per year)
