What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cake Decorator position at Dairy Queen?

Report to: Owner/Management Staff
Job Requirements:
- Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and be professional in every aspect of performance
- Practice company, local, state and federal established food handling guidelines related to health and safety standards
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean work environment for fans and team members
- Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow team members
- Communicate positively with fans and co-workers constantly
- Exhibit a genuine passion for excellence at all times
- Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, and promptness
- Cake decorator's certificate and/or previous cake decorating experience
- Be able to be on your feet for duration of scheduled shifts
- Ability to work in different temperature ranges
Job Functions:
- Strive to exceed fans expectations through the art of cake decorating
- Assemble and prepare soft serve and Blizzard cakes, including decorating with icing, gel, drawings, decorating kits, air brush, edible images and lettering
- Exhibit competency and proficiency with cake decorating tools
- Answer fan questions related to cake product ingredients and preparation
- Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queen's service standards related to cake products
- Maintain adequate cake inventory in a high volume location
- Maintain accurate records and inventory controls related to cake decorating items
- Communicate and coordinate with head cake decorator
- Communicate and report to the store owner and management staff
