Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high standards of quality, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, supply chain management, and process improvement methodologies.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the plant, including production, packaging, and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food industry regulations, including USDA and FDA requirements.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor product quality and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.
- Supervise and train staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and supply chain processes.
- Maintain plant equipment, coordinate maintenance, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement safety programs and workplace best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, sales, and quality assurance to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of dairy processing, pasteurization, and sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with industry regulations such as HACCP, GMP, and FSMA.
- Ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.
- Experience with automated processing equipment and ERP systems is a plus.
