The Opportunity
We are seeking an Alarm Technician in our San Carlos, California branch who is proficient at installing, configuring, and maintaining low voltage integrated system equipment, devices, and components. The right candidate for this role has complete knowledge of DSC and Qolsys systems and understands the basic concepts of how to set up alarm.com accounts.
The Alarm Technician performs system configuration, calibration, programming, testing, and troubleshooting as well as demonstrates mastery of basic wiring / cabling for low voltage integrated systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with the customer to determine optimal systems and equipment to meet their needs.
- Install and test the operations of all equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal reception required to establish service.
- Evaluate the information provided and work with the customer to provide the best possible solution for their location.
- Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of the customers system and provide those recommendations.
- Pursue safety practices to safeguard against injury and damage to property.
- Assure against loss of unused materials, ladders, and tools on a job site or office location.
- Collect all debris, patch any holes, and clean the site, leaving it as nice or in better condition than when started.
- And any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission and abide by our organizations values.
- You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, working closely with customers and coworkers.
- This role involves providing solutions by visiting customers at their homes or businesses.
- Services fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
- Follow and complete required processes of wired / wireless technology and connection procedures.
- Test and validate system signals / communication with central monitoring to properly establish service.
- A customer service champion, demonstrating the willingness to help our customers fix as well as understand the protection in their home.
